Joseph Hayes is a sometime writer, artist and musician having played bass for The Legacy and now Runes. He has contributed lyrics to his own band as well as the latest Gold Kids record Ode to Youth. After years of writing poetry, short stories, vignettes and other prose, 2011 has seen him start to release his work through various zines. His writing deals with the often sinisterly comic dark sides of sex, death, love, the human condition, loneliness and more sex. He produces the Wet Horse zine with art provided by the musician Dem Hunger and is set to release a lot more material collaborating with varying artists in the future. Anchors Aweigh Records will be releasing their first zine with Joseph Hayes soon with ‘Settle Down Young Lovers’.
